Jim has a broad background of insurance and construction related experience. He has worked as an adjuster, reinspector, trainer, and manager on residential and commercial claims. His experience involves both staff and catastrophe related claims, handling losses from hurricanes, floods, fires, hailstorms, and earthquakes.

Jim possesses outstanding presentation skills which is a positive influence regarding industry related negotiations.

His thirty plus years within the insurance industry has given him expertise in roofing inspections, damage identification, mitigation and drying, dispute resolution, estimatics, estimate review and analytics.

Jim’s experience owning a custom home building company gives him the experience needed to understand construction management and how it related to insurance losses.  He has been responsible for multi-million-dollar property claims and high end residential construction projects.

  • 25 Story Condominium- Hurricane Sally 2020, Gulf Shores, AL

    Evaluated and estimated repairs to residential spaces, common areas, and exterior amenities in excess of $1,300,000.00. Evaluation utilized by carrier to reach an agreed settlement with insureds counsel.
  • Assisted Living and Memory Care - Hurricane Laura 2020 Louisiana

    Evaluated, estimated, and negotiated mitigation and repairs to residential spaces, common areas, offices, and classrooms for 15 locations. Loss values in excess of $1,800,000.00.
  • Manufacturing Plant - 2019 Dallas, TX

    October Tornado destroyed powder coat building and impacted over 115,000 square feet of metal structures. Temporary repairs and restoration in excess of $1,400,000.00. Evaluated, estimated, and negotiated building mitigation and repairs.
  • Multi-Use Medical Facility - 2019 Dallas, TX

    October Tornado impacted multi-use structure. Collaborated with owner and multiple tenant contractors to determine temporary repairs, mitigation, and restoration in excess of $1,900,000.00. Negotiated restoration values and utilized existing vendors to reduce the restoration period. Resumed operations in less than 70 days.
